HaEun Kim / Kyla Kim

Kyla Kim is a multidisciplinary artist based between Los Angeles and South Korea. Working primarily in drawing, painting, and ceramics, she examines how organic matter shapes human perception and identity. Using materials such as fruits and clay, she frames them as metaphors for her immigrant experience and for individuals as part of the natural world. Her recent work focuses on love and relationships, exploring how people come to understand themselves through connections with others. Across her 2D and sculptural practice, Kim investigates how humans perceive themselves, engage with their senses, and position their identities in relation to nature.
